In short, MBI's TRACLON™ family of coatings consist of a combination of a hard matrix materials such as Tungsten carbide (74 Rc hardness) and specialty polymers to provide astounding tough non-stick properties. Typically, they are applied by PLASMA or specific HI-VELOCITY THERMAL SPRAY systems.

Our coatings recondition surfaces (such as on rolls) and enhance their properties. We can combine traction with non-stick which is ideal for low inertia rolls made of thin aluminum or non-metallic substrate. We offer a variety of TRACLON roll coverings for high release that come in a wide range of surface finishes, hardness and thickness.

We apply TRACLON™ Coatings uniformly with specific thickness and texture as per required by the application. In general, TRACLON coatings have a slight suede-like feel finish that exhibit extreme release and also non-slip “traction control” properties.

TRACLON™ coatings are considered to have the most durable and best release properties in our industry. They will not let any tape adhesive, glue, compound, film or anything else stick to them bar none.

TRACLON coatings offer Non-stick properties with Traction/Tension control. They offer enhanced web tracking (eliminate slippage and drifting), provide more consistent and tighter wrap of products, with improved quality, and higher speeds
